Niningka’s work at Tarnanthi

Niningka Lewis is on of the finest storytellers in the Central Australian Desert. Her large masterpiece tells us about her family and it tells us about the changes from the old days when Anangu lived in nature and with nature – following the animals, the water and the seasons to the first contact with white people, to the first settlements, the devastating effect of the Maralinga bomb and the live of Anangu today.

The work can be seen at Tarnanthi and smaller Niningka Lewis artworks can be bought at the shop.
