EXHIBITION
11 September – 25 October
Featuring hundreds of new works by emerging and established artists, this year’s exhibition promises to be a dynamic interplay of traditional and contemporary works reflecting multiple artist’ cultural voices.
The exhibition presents paintings, sculpture, weaving, wood carving, prints, photography and works on paper.
Online sales will begin at 9am on Friday 11 September, or if you’re in Alice Springs you can book in a free ticketed public viewing from 1 – 8pm. The exhibition will continue until Sunday 25th October at Araluen Arts Centre and is open from 10am – 4pm daily.
MARKETPLACE
12 – 19 September
Explore and purchase artworks from over 30 participating Central Australian Art Centres and share in the artist’ stories and culture. Amazing works from emerging and established artists are available with new ones being added all the time so check them out over the week.
SYMPOSIUM
4 – 11 September
Be transported by the achievements, stories and lives of these featured artists and art centres, providing a glimpse into the diversity of Aboriginal storytelling and contemporary artistic practice across our regions.
The program is a series of short films, which you can enjoy on Desart’s website and on our social channels over seven days.
