Nangawarra Ward is minyma Yarnangu, a senior Ngaanyatjarra woman from the Western Desert area of Australia. Born in the bush south west of Kintore, she grew up in both Pintupi and Ngaanyatjarra country. She is also an artist with Papunya Tula where her father was a painter at the start of the famous Western Desert painting movement which began there. Her husband is the renowned artist and Wynne prize winner, George Ward Tjungarrayi.
